As we're shifting the site over to this new server and hoping to not run into the major bandwidth problems or file allotment problems...there really isn't much to put here ^^; However, in the future, you will be able to read up on Zos Kias the organization and how magick is set up in this world. ~Kaze-kun
Zos Kias -- Elemental Magick -- Deities/Beings -- Vampyrs -- Youkai --
Zos Kias
The organization Zos Kias was established several hundred years ago as a small branch of the gatekeepers by the Ord0 Templi Orientis. Because of its isolation, its workers mainly consist of a rag-tag group of misfits. Most of the workers are human though there are some nonhumans...like Lillian, head of Zos, and her secretary Kazehiko. Most of those employed are able to use some sort of magick. The Templi council always keeps a close eye on all of its organizations. Zos Kias, despite its size, has a special connection to Crowley himself, the founder of the Templi council! All that is known as of now is that he directly founded the Zos Kias branch.
Elemental Magick
All beings are created with the potential to use magick inside of them. It is only the few though that are able to take this and make a contract with their element's deity and the being assigned to them. Magick focuses around six elements: fire, water, earth, wind, light, and darkness. The four basic elements are far easier to come across than the added two. Within each element, there are different types of powers. For example, a wind user can either use wind or electricity. These "sub-categories" do not overlap. Always in Zos Kias, elements of two types are partnered up. Never does a group consist of the same element. This plan was devised by Kazehiko.
Deities/Beings
Each element is under control of a deity. Fire is under Salamander, Earth is under Gnome, Wind is under Slyph, and Water is under Undine. Though both light and darkness have a deity, their names are less commonly known (Christian and Lucifer). Under each of these deities, there are at least four known rankings of beings. Rank 1 is the lowest and rank 4 is the highest. Rank 4 beings are also called "Council Beings" as they serve directly under their deity and often times posess more power and strength because of that. Each rank has a set of limitations, but rank 4 can easily get around said limitations. The abilities that a elemental user can pull out of its being are limited not only by what the being can do, but by how much the user can handle as well. A deity can rise in rank, but it is no easy task. The user as well as the deity has to be up for the challenge.
Vampyrs
Zos Kias biggest secret weapon...it was headed by the famous vampyr Alleister Crowley! Vampyrs usually don't cause too much trouble because Crowley takes care of them, but every once in a while a vampyr is provoked and acts out. The vampyrs "year" is much longer than a human year and is split into three parts: Sol, Stella, and Luna. Sol, the generation of the sun, is their hibernation period. Stella is the generation of awakening, where the vampyrs awaken and can function as normal humans. The final generation, Luna, is a devastating generation to the humans. It is during this generation that the vampyrs feed. Fortunately, the Templi Council has good defenses against vampires. Each of these generations lasts several hundred years. The shortest generation is that of Luna, only lasting around one hundred years.
Youkai
A Youkai is the named dubbed for beings that posess a certain level of energy, or power, that aren't human. The types within these categories can vary as much as the genre of mammal. Some are no bigger or stronger than insects, while others have the power of speech and other more human traits. The classification for youkai is a bit vague, but it usually ends up being the name for any creature that is not from this dimension, or does not have the required traits to call it human. Just what the traits are is unknown as of now though. Most of the youkai that actually break through to this dimension illegally are low-level youkai that panic and attack for fear, not out of malice.
